Wine Review: This almost clear colored dry-styled Muscat Blanc from Navarro was our top scoring wine in our Big Blind Tasting of our miscellaneous whites. This wine opens with a very fragrant floral and lychee bouquet with hints of ginger. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and balanced. The flavor profile is a tasty light lime and lychee blend with hints of minerality, light grapefruit and a touch of white pepper. The finish is dry and refreshing. The Panel suggested pairing this gem with lobster mac n' cheese or grilled scallops with a side of Stuart’s Brussel sprouts or sweet potato fries. Enjoy - KWGTP

Cork Lore: A cork tree must be at least 25 years old before its bark can be harvested the first time, but it cannot be used for wine stoppers until the third harvest. Cork trees can be stripped of their bark no more than every 9 to 12 years. In one harvest, enough cork is removed from the average tree to make 4,000 wine stoppers.
