Wine Review: This Chardonnay from Murphy Goode has a rich golden color. It displays tropical fruit including banana, pineapple, melon, and a hint of lemon and vanilla on the nose. On the plate, it is full-bodied and balanced. The flavor profile, like the bouquet is tropical fruit flavors along with pleasant minerality, honeyed sweetness and hint of oak and vanilla. The flavors linger and gently drift away nicely. This is a great value Chard. We would pair it with grilled chicken marinated in lemon juice, garlic, olive oil and thyme. – Karen and Stuart

Winemaker Notes: I make this style with the thought of coming home from work, putting your feet up, and relaxing with a refreshing glass of Chardonnay in hand. I keep it fruit forward and clean. The barrels are only used to round the wine and add just a touch of richness. This Chardonnay is quite versatile. It would pair nicely with spicier fare such as pumpkin curry with chicken as well as lighter seafood dishes.

Organic status: not organic
