Wine Review: This light straw colored white blend from South Africa is a very good. This wine opens with a mild honey and light lemon bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced, and has a round mouthfeel. The flavor profile is a tasty mild mineral infused Anjou pear with notes of nicely integrated oak and a hint of honey and mild pineapple. The finish is dry and its flavors linger nicely. This is a food friendly wine that I would pair with a chicken and wild mushroom ravioli with a light cream sauce. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Pale straw in colour, this wine has a nose of ripe, green citrus fruit and Christmas spices. The palate is fairly full and richly textured, with notes of ripe pears, almonds and peaches. The finish is fresh and clove-like. Best served at about 12 C, this wine will show optimally when decanted in the first 3 years after bottling.
