Wine Review: This bright red color late harvest Zin opens with cranberry bouquet with hints of strawberry. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, very sweet, very forward and savory. The flavor profile is a ripe strawberry with notes of ripe red plum. I also detected a hint of cranberry and touch of raisin. The finish remains sweet and its flavors drift away nicely. This Dessert wine would pair nicely with dark chocolate. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Our legendary Frozin is not your typical dessert wine. It’s not a late harvest--it’s our unique take on an ice wine. Instead of the syrupy sweetness of your typical dessert wine, you will find a nice alternative. This wine delivers incredibly fresh Zinfandel aromas and flavors, almost as if the grapes had just been picked and pressed immediately into your glass. From the first sip, the delightful fresh blackberry aromas and flavors invade every part of your mouth, then linger through a long, gracious finish. And the healthy acid balance ensures a long life and prevents the residual sugar from being cloying. This is truly a unique and delicious wine to be savored with, cheese, nuts, fruit or any great dessert. With anything chocolate, it's like a party in your mouth! Don't miss our famous Frozini cocktails.

Your comments on this wine:

Are all wines meant to be aged? No. In fact, perhaps 90% of today's wines are vinified for consumption within 2 years of the vintage.
