Wine Review: This opaque and very dark purple colored wine opens with a very mild plum and red currant bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, smooth, and elegant. The flavor profile is a mild black cherry and gentle plum blend with nicely integrated smoky oak throughout. There is also a touch of black licorice as well. The finish is dry and its big tannins are dusty and show great length. This wine would pair well with veal scallopini with a mushroom brown sauce. Enjoy - Ken
