Wine Review: This is a good "current style" Zinfandel from California with lots of upfront fruit. It is dark ruby in the glass with an inviting dark raspberry, leather and vanilla bouquet. It is medium bodied, with juicy acidity and soft tannins. Easy drinking flavors of dark cherry, cola, mild oak and hints of chocolate and black pepper, and a long silky finish. This Zin would pair well with grilled flank steak. - Mark
Winemaker Notes: Our 2014 Mariah Vineyard Zinfandel displays a beautiful ruby-garnet color; generous aromas of blackberry and spice; lingonberry and black currant flavors fill the palate with a full supple mouth feel followed by a lingering finish. The wine is a perfect companion for anything cooked on the grill and away from the grill, tomato based pastas are a perfect match!
