Wine Review: This midnight blue colored Grenache from Spain opens with a fragrant blackberry bouquet with hints of blueberry and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, juicy and fruit forward. The flavor is a tasty ripe and extracted blackberry with notes of black cherry. I also detected hints of black plum and faint oak. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors are nicely prolonged. This wine would pair well with a grilled sweet sausage sandwich smothered with sauteed Vidalia onion and red pepper. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2013 Sorbo a Sorbo Garnacha displays intense aromas and flavors of ripe cherry, raspberry, and currant, with subtle balsamic and mineral notes that add pleasantly to the complexity. A fresh, accessible wine with lingering, bright fruit on the finish. Beautifully balanced, elegant and delicious.
