Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot Noir opens with a blackberry and red raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and savory. The flavor profile is a tasty black raspberry with notes of black plum and black pepper. There is also some oak in the background. The finish is dry and its flavors linger for quite some time after the wine is gone. I would pair the tasty Pinot with slow cooked beef brisket. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: 2010 is about purity of fruit and single mindedness of focus. Red and black cherry dominate the nose and mouth while a line of fruit-supporting acidity carves out a significantly long finish. Perhaps slightly less tannic overall than its predecessor, the 2010 Pinot Noir – Donum Estate, nevertheless, exhibits a lovely structure that nicely contains its abundant fruitfulness. Showing well now, this wine will ascend to new heights of complexity, mouthfeel, and flavor over the next five to seven years.
