Wine Review: This opaque and onyx colored Cabernet opens with a mild black currant bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, well balanced, and very smooth. The flavor profile is a very tasty black currant with notes of plum and nice integrated gentle oak. I also detected a touch of black pepper and blackberry as well. The finish is dry and its fine mild tannins are gentle and easy going. This wine would pair well with a filet mignon at you favorite steak house. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: This wine was born from the high elevation soils of Stagecoach Vineyard in Napa Valley. M5 is the name of the vineyard block from which all of the Cabernet Sauvignon in this blend comes from. It has beautiful deep purple hues and complex aromas of black fruits, toasted oak, currant, cocoa, vanilla and tobacco leaf. There is a full bodied entry which leads to beautifully structured and layered mid palate tannins. The flavor profile consists of blackberry, plum and allspice with hints of roasted coffee bean and earthy mineral notes. The finish is long and lingering with a nice balance between acid and tannin showing great aging potential.
