Wine Review: This yellow colored Chardonnay opens with an oak, apple and lemon like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced and super smooth. The flavor profile is a vanilla oak influenced pear with notes of lemon. I also picked up some hints ginger. The finish is dry and its flavors are nicely prolonged. This Chard was popular with all that tried it. I would pair it with chicken cordon bleu. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Lush tropical fruit intertwines with lemon, lime and floral notes. Elegantly layered, this wine exhibits a rich texture and firm backbone with a hint of vanilla and spice to round out the long finish.

Organic status: not organic

Cork Lore: A cork tree must be at least 25 years old before its bark can be harvested the first time, but it cannot be used for wine stoppers until the third harvest. Cork trees can be stripped of their bark no more than every 9 to 12 years. In one harvest, enough cork is removed from the average tree to make 4,000 wine stoppers.
