Wine Review: This opaque and very dark ruby colored Cabernet Franc from Virginia opens with a mild ripe black raspberry jam like bouquet with a hint of old oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and savory. The flavor profile is a tasty plum with notes of black pepper and black raspberry. The finish is dry and its tingly acidity and mild tannins are nicely prolonged. I would pair this Cabernet Franc grilled barbecue chicken sandwiches. Enjoy - Ken
