Wine Review: This slightly opaque very dark purple wine from southern France opens with a musty oak bouquet followed by hints of red raspberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and intense. It is packed with extracted black raspberry with notes of licorice and spice. There were also trailing notes of oak detected on the back palate. The finish is quite dry and its tingly tannins are somewhat lengthy. This is a fireside sipper for a cold winter’s night. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: The wine is dark garnet-red, red fruit flavours and scrubland, the mouth is round and greedy with velvety tannins.
