Wine Review: This deep garnet color Cabernet Sauvignon from Hess is a sleeper. It opens with a black raspberry, black cherry, oak and flint like bouquet on the nose. On the palate, we found it to be full bodied, nicely balanced, chewy and velvety. The longer you keep it open, the more it evolves, becoming more rich and luscious. The flavor profile is a tasty blackberry and ripe plum blend with hints of blueberry and cedar. It finishes with dry and with dusty tannins. We would serve this nice Cab with grilled steak au poivre. – Karen and Stuart
Winemaker Notes: Our Allomi Cabernet Sauvignon offers distinct notes of vanilla and oak spice with classic red fruit flavors set off by currant and blackberry along with moderate, well-integrated tannins showing a round, plush mouthfeel.
