Wine Review: This white gold colored Chardonnay from South Africa is very impressive. It opens with a mild oak, creme brulee and gentle banana like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is an oak influenced lemon with notes of pear and a hint of ginger and pineapple. The finish is dry and its flavors and mild acidity linger and last of a while. This wine is food friendly and would pair nicely with chicken cordon bleu. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A tight, minerally wine with classic Hamilton Russell Vineyards length and complexity. Unusually prominent pear and lime fruit aromas and flavours are brought beautifully into focus by a tight line of bright natural acid and a long, dry minerality. An elegant, yet textured and intense wine with a strong personality of both place and vintage.
