Wine Review: This bright red colored Pinot Noir from Goldeneye is Excellent once again. It opens with a faint cherry-cola bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, super smooth, and nicely coats your mouth. The flavor profile is a delicious gentle cherry-cola with nicely integrated mild vanilla oak with hints of blueberry and spice. The finish is dry and its fine tannins drift away nicely. I would pair this gem with a filet mignon over a special dinner. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This is an intense, opulent Pinot Noir that immediately commands your attention with a cornucopia of vivid plum, wild berry and black cherry flavors that sweep across the palate like waves along the rugged Mendocino Coast. Additional layers of violet and clove add complexity to this blockbuster wine and contribute to a compelling finish. Though rich, robust and exciting now, this wine possesses the stuffing to age for a decade or more.
