Wine Review: This light yellow colored Chardonnay from South Africa opens with a vanilla oak and pear like bouquet with a hint of honey. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, soft and balanced. The flavor profile is a mild green apple with notes of oak. We also detected hints of subtle minerality, faint lemon and ginger. The finish is dry and its oak influenced flavors linger and last for a while. The panel suggested pairing this Chard with a wild mushroom tortellini with a mild butter cream sauce or lemon roasted chicken. Enjoy - KWGTP
