Wine Review: This almost clear colored Sauvignon Blanc from Napa Valley opens with a mild lime and gentle grapefruit bouquet with a hint of vanilla. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and nicely balanced between its fruit and acidity. I also found it pleasantly mouthwatering and juicy. The flavor profile is a very tasty mild grapefruit with notes of beautifully integrated minerality and lime. I also detected hints of pineapple and green apple. The finish is dry and it drifts away nicely. This refined and elegant styled Sauvignon Blanc is food friendly. I would pair this wine with pan seared scallops. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2015 Naissance has aromas of honeydew, lemon zest, yellow flowers, and green apple. Full, crisp mouthfeel and intense minerality with a grassy, citrus finish.

Cork Lore: A cork tree must be at least 25 years old before its bark can be harvested the first time, but it cannot be used for wine stoppers until the third harvest. Cork trees can be stripped of their bark no more than every 9 to 12 years. In one harvest, enough cork is removed from the average tree to make 4,000 wine stoppers.
