Wine Review: This opaque and very dark purple colored wine opens with a very fragrant and attractive blueberry bouquet. I also detected a hint of black currant. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, very well balanced, satiny and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a delicious spicy black currant and blueberry blend with notes of blackberry. There are also pleasant notes of oak towards the finish. On the finish, this wine is dry and its soft tannins stick around for quite a while. You will find this wine would be a very nice pairing with veal marsala. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Ferrari-Carano presents its finest blend of the five classic Bordeaux varietals from the best selections of our vineyards in Alexander and Dry Creek Valleys. Aptly named "Tresor" for "treasure," the grapes are hand harvested from dry-farmed, low-yielding vines primarily on our mountain vineyards. Delicious aromas of blueberry, blackberry and cassis combine with a vibrant mid-palate of roasted mocha and vanilla. With a full-bodied and impressive tannin profile, this wine's upfront silkiness and roundness make for a delicious selection now and will drink well for 15—20 years.
