Wine Review: This midnight blue colored Carmenere is fruit bomb. It opens with a very attractive ripe blackberry and black cherry bouquet with hints of menthol. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, super smooth, juicy and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a yummy and complex blend of ripe blackberry jam with notes of dark chocolate, coffee and blueberry. On day two I also detected a faint hint of oak and touch of rum and minerality. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors fade away nicely. This is a perfect winter wine to enjoy by the fireplace. Serve it with Kerrygold Dubliner cheese with stone wheat crackers. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: 100% Carmenere "Appasimento" from the Elqui Valley. Intense and fruity on the nose and incredible softness in the mouth with velvety structure.
