Wine Review: This opaque and India ink colored Syrah from Portugal showed very well in our first big blind tasting. It opens with a fragrant blueberry and black cherry bouquet with a hint of wintermint. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and super smooth. The flavor profile is a very tasty vanilla oak and ripe blueberry blend with hints of black cherry and plum. The finish is dry and its flavors linger nicely. The panel suggested that this Syrah would be fine on its own on a cold winter's night by the fireplace. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Colour/Condition: Deep, dense, opaque. Aroma: Mature dark berry fruits, chocolate, subtle tobacco notes. Palate: Intense fruit on a smooth but solid palate, good tannin structure and a long finish. Dishes: Full and persistent wine, ideal to accompany since a Chili.
