Wine Review: This dark yellow colored Chardonnay from Edna Valley is terrific. It opens with a pear and mild lemon bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and savory. The flavor profile is a delicious pear with notes of mild minerality and faint green apple. I also detected hints of oak, butter, pineapple, and honey. The finish is dry and its flavors linger and last for a while. This Excellent Chardonnay would pair nicely with Chicken St. Timothy. Buy online direct from the winery. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Crafted from 100% Chardonnay grapes, our 2013 Edna Valley Vineyard Premium Heritage Chardonnay is selected from the incredible vines at Paragon Vineyard. A tribute to what a great match Chardonnay and the Edna Valley are, this wine offers aromas of fresh golden apple with hints of pineapple, nectarine, caramel and nutmeg for a creamy mid-palate and crisp, toasty finish.
