Wine Review: This very dark purple colored wine opens with a fragrant and very attractive blackberry bouquet with hints of peppermint and black licorice. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and harmonious. The flavor profile is a very tasty and spicy black currant and mild boysenberry blend. The finish is quite dry and its dusty oak tannins are moderate and linger slightly. This is a very tasty red blend. It would pair perfectly with barbecue spare ribs. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2006 Mariner exudes the qualities of a fine Bordeaux. At first swirl, this wine presents a beautiful mix of bright cherry, chocolate, and cassis elements framed by subtle notes of vanilla bean and coffee. On the palate, this classic blend comes together with fine tannins that support the dense fruit and structure of this full bodied wine. With more airing, hints of rose petal and earthy nuances provide balance, grace, and finesse.
