Wine Review: This cloudy red raspberry colored Pinot is first class. It opens with a very attractive spicy red cherry and strawberry licorice bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, very nicely balanced, smooth, and elegant. The flavor profile is a juicy black raspberry with infused strawberry notes. There was also a touch of oak and dark chocolate detected on the back palate. The finish is dry and its mild fine tannins slowly drift away. This silky Pinot is a style of Pinot I really like. This wine gets even better on day 2. So much so, I raised my score by a point and I encourage you to decant it before consumption. It would be a perfect complement to pork tenderloin or veal medallions in a brown mushroom sauce. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Our sixth release of this wine is true to form, a dark and brooding Pinot Noir now unfolding its great depth and complexity. The wine shows intense aromas of black plum compote, forest floor and a wisp of smoke through which a pure beam of ripe Bing cherry fruit emerges. On the palate, this wine is weighty but nimble and glossy in texture, and flavors of succulent black fruits and ripe strawberries abound against background hints of bark and earth. Although this Pinot Noir is dense and concentrated, bright acidity contributes to an elegant, long and refreshing finish.
