Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Chateauneuf du Pape was one of the top selections that I covered from the 2011 vintage. It opens with a mild strawberry and gentle red raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, very balanced, nicely approachable and fruit forward. The flavor profile is an extracted black raspberry with notes of blackberry and black pepper. There is also a hint of oak mixed in as well. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are nicely prolonged. Enjoy – Ken
