Wine Review: This light white gold colored Chenin Blanc from Vouvray opens with a mild almond and faint green apple bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, nicely balanced and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a toasted almond and green apple blend with notes of faint lemon in the background. I also detected some herbs mixed in as well. The finish is dry and its flavors fade away nicely. This easy drinking Chenin Blanc would pair nicely with garlic chicken. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Crisp and fruity this easy drinking, yet complex Vouvray offers hints of apple and citrus. A lively acidity combines with an abundance of minerality keeping it brilliantly balanced.

Your comments on this wine:

Cork Lore: A cork tree must be at least 25 years old before its bark can be harvested the first time, but it cannot be used for wine stoppers until the third harvest. Cork trees can be stripped of their bark no more than every 9 to 12 years. In one harvest, enough cork is removed from the average tree to make 4,000 wine stoppers.
