Wine Review: This pitch black colored blend from Cypher is impressive. It is a very unusual combination of Tannat, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Petite Sirah. It opens with a mild and attractive blackberry and blueberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a rich and extracted blackberry jam with notes of boysenberry. I also detected hints of blueberry, oak and minerality. The finish is dry and its flavors and dusty dry tannins show nice length. This sturdy wine would pair very nicely with well marbled ribeye. Enjoy - Ken
