Wine Review: This ruby colored Syrah from Santa Barbara opens with a blueberry and cherry vanilla bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and very smooth. The flavor profile remains a blueberry and cherry vanilla blend with notes of oak and hints of boysenberry. The finish is dry and it fruit flavors linger for a little bit. There are no noticeable tannins. This Syrah is food friendly and would pair well with a tangy pulled pork sandwich. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: On the Nose: Deep blueberry and black fruits with Violets and white pepper. Eyes hidden behind a tragic veil of mocha, spice and creamy toasted oak. On the Palate: Layers of deep, dark blueberry, boysenberry, alternating with bright red berry fruit. Long n the palate with a brooding but seductive structure laced with tobacco, cassis and exotic spices. Velvet tannins dressed in black trail into a creamy toasted oak finish with a suggestion of Crème Brulee. She will seduce you. You will do anything she asks.
