Wine Review: This light straw colored Moscato opens with a big burst of bubbles upon entry into the glass. They quickly dissipate and don't interfere. It opens with a fragrant and appealing orange and apricot marmalade bouquet with a hint of yellow grapefruit. On the palate this wine is light bodied, fresh and effervescent. The flavor profile is a tasty ripe apricot with hints of ginger, lemon-lime and a touch of mineralogy. The finish is pleasantly sweet and its flavors fade away nicely. This Moscato would make a perfect opening wine and my sister would love it. I would serve it before dinner and with spring roll appetizers. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Minimal aging results in a bright yellow color with pale golden hues and a fine perlage. The bouquet is refreshing and delicate with aromas of peach, pear and the textbook citrus blossom, typical of Moscato. Moncalvina is an elegant, slightly sweet and sparkling wine. Captivating and fun to drink, Moncalvina is recommended with light pastries, Panettone (Italian Christmas cake) or simply on its own.
