Wine Review: I often get asked for a really good value Cabernet. Here it is! This is a lot of Cab for the money. It is opaque and very dark purple colored and opens with a very mild black cherry and vanilla bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a gentle black cherry and plum blend with a hint of black currant and oak. It finishes dry and its pleasant black cherry flavors linger with very mild tannins that barely show up in the end. As I mentioned, it is an impressive and affordable Cab. It is also food friendly and would be perfect with Theresa’s meatloaf. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Inviting aromas of cassis, licorice and dark berries mingle with slight earth notes. The voluminous texture is accented by flavors of fruit preserves and leads to a long and silky finish.
