Wine Review: This opaque dark ruby colored Rhone grape blend from Minervois opens with a fragrant red raspberry and strawberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a mild mineral infused black currant with notes of oak and black pepper. I also detected a hint of black tea. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors are slightly prolonged. I would pair this wine with a pepper encrusted strip steak. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Appearance: Ruby-red colour, intense, garnet red highlights. Nose: Aromatic, fruity, blackcurrant aromas, generous cherry aromas, grenadine aromas. Palate: Well-balanced, generous, smooth, silky tannin, smooth, structured body, good length. Food Matches: Delicatessen meats, white meats, guinea fowl, grilled entrecote steak, & unaged cheeses
