Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Washington State was very well received by the Tasting Panel. It opens with a slightly off-putting bouquet of mild gearbox, toasted bread and black cherry. It does dissipate with air and time. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty black-cherry-cola and vanilla oak blend with a hint of blueberry. The finish is dry and its well-managed tannins sail away nicely. The Panel suggested pairing this Cab with sautéed veal medallions and sliced mushrooms or shepherd’s pie. Enjoy – KWGTP
