Wine Review: This dark ruby colored red blend opens with a fragrant black cherry bouquet with notes of anise and mild truffles. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and shows gentle acidity. The flavor profile is a blend of blackberry and black cherry with notes of black pepper and old oak. The finish is quite dry and its dusty tannins are slightly prolonged. This wine would pair well with a thick cut of prime rib. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Our 2005 Peter Mondavi Family Generations is a tribute to family tradition and a commitment to quality. A selective blend creates a balanced wine that showcases its strength and elegance. This blend was aged for 22 months in French oak barrels. Aromas of espresso and nutmeg lead to the rich, plush red fruit flavors of black cherry and blueberry jam before finishing with grace and style.
