Wine Review: Drew Barrymore has team up with Carmel Road to produce this pleasant and very affordable Pinot Grigio from California. It opens with a light bouquet of citrus fruit, mild green apple and wet stone. On the palate, this pale straw colored wine is light bodied, nicely balanced smooth, slightly dry and crisp. The flavor profiles included citrus fruit, lemon, melon with some nice acidity and a hint of licorice. The finish is a slightly dry tart apple. I really enjoyed this Pinot Grigio and would pair it with a Caesar salad (anchovies optional!) - Joe

Winemaker Notes: The 2015 Barrymore by Carmel Road Pinot Grigio is crisp and refreshing with citrus and tropical notes. Flavors of honeydew melon and lemon combine with an elegant minerality producing mouthwatering acidity that is signature of our wine. This light-bodied wine is the perfect accompaniment to gnocchi in brown butter with fried sage or a Caprese salad. It is a great wine for the dinner table, as well as for enjoying pre-dinner with friends and family.
