Wine Review: This ruby colored Merlot from Napa Valley is very friendly. It opens with a friendly black cherry bouquet with a hint of black raspberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a gentle black cherry and plum blend with nicely integrated oak and minerality. The finish is dry and its flavors and oak tingle a bit at the end. This wine is very food friendly and would pair well with filet mignon. Enjoy - Ken

Your comments on this wine:

Are all wines meant to be aged? No. In fact, perhaps 90% of today's wines are vinified for consumption within 2 years of the vintage.
