Wine Review: This very dark ruby high-end Chateauneuf du Pape opens with a fragrant boysenberry jam bouquet with a hint of blueberry. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, well balanced, smooth, and fruit forward. The flavor profile is an extracted plum and blackberry blend with notes of oak and black raspberry. The finish is dry and its big tannins are sticky and linger for quite a while. This was one of my top choices from the 2011 vintage. I decant it, as it needs time. I would pair it with a ribeye in a few years. Enjoy - Ken
