Wine Review: This dark ruby red Chianto Classico opens with an attractive Bing cherry bouquet with hints of anise and cedar. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and slightly acidic. The flavor profile is a plum and red apple blend with notes of mild old oak and black cherry. The finish is dry and its mild oak tannins linger for quite some time. This wine is food friendly and would pair well with Chicken Parmigianna. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: This wine has an intense aroma of red berries, accompanied by hints of vanilla and chocolate. It shows great structure on the palate, and the 2008 vintage is especially characterized by a level of acidity which amplifies the persistence of the fruit. Peppoli Chianti Classico DOCG is characterized by elegant and gentle tannins. This wine is intended to be consumed while it is young, during the height of its expression of the grapes.
