Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored wine opens with a barnyard, smoky bacon, and spicy black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and easy going. The flavor profile is red currant with a hint of black pepper and black tea. The finish is dry and has a little heat to go with its moderate tannins that are sticky and show some length. The panel suggested pairing this wine with pork tenderloin or lamb medalions. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Intense Tempranillo character is apparent in an elegant and pure wine only lightly influenced by the oak. Medium weight on the palate with a lingering, slightly dusty finish that promises excellent development in the bottle. Aged 18 months in primarily American oak.
