Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Syrah opens with an oak infused blackberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, smooth, and balanced. Like the other Truchard wines we recommended from this years Expo, this wine is also very easy to drink. The flavor profile is a spicy blackberry. The finish is dry and its controlled tannins linger quite nicely. We felt this wine would be a very good compliment for beef bourgogne. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Rich aromas of ripe plum, black cherry, and cassis; highlighted with cedar and vanilla. The mouth is layered with bright, jammy flavors of raspberry, cherry, and red currant. Fine-grained tannins fill the palate and provide a lingering finish of spice and red fruit.
