Wine Review: This wine is a special Grand Cru level Beaujolais. It is really good and I suggest your seek it our if you have never had top level Grand Cru level Beaujolais. This very dark opaque purple colored wine opens with a light plum like bouquet with a hint of spice. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, quite smooth, silky, and well balanced with very pleasant plum flavors. The finish is dry and it lingers for quite sometime. This elegant Beaujolais is a terrific food wine and would pair perfectly with beef stroganoff. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: With a deep cherry colour, and nut and red fruits aromas, this wine has firm tannins, sometimes austere in their youth. The manganese (in the granite of the Py), that vineyard is needing, allows it to be kept several years. It will perfectly match with duck, pigeon, and others small games with plums, with or without sauce. It will be perfect with fine but quite strong cheeses.
