Wine Review: This offering is one of the more elegant Aglianicos that I have come across. It was also a big hit recently at the Italian wine tasting at Rosecliff in Newport. This cherry red colored wine opens with a cherry like bouquet. On the palate, this medium bodied wine is smooth, with dried cherry flavors and a touch of oak. The finish is dry and its tannins linger for quite some time. Unlike many Aglianico’s that need a fair amount of time in the cellar, this one is ready now. As a result this wine would be great with a strip steak or a veal chop. Enjoy - Ken
