Wine Review: One of the wines to emerge from the pack from our recent tastings of several Riesling was this value offering from KJ. This light yellow wine opens with a ripe pear like bouquet. On the palate, this medium bodied wine is initially bracing and lively on the mid-palate. This wine is off dry and shows its acidity with slightly tart green apple flavors. There is a touch of sweet lychee from the dash of Gewürtz on the back of the palate as well. The finish is crisp and refreshing. Our mini panel thought this wine would serve nicely as an aperitif and go well with bacon wrapped scallops. Enjoy – KWGTP
