Wine Review: The holiday season is a time to share and we pulled this gem from the cellar and shared it with some friends. It was very well received and didn’t last very long. This opaque dark purple wine opens with a fragrant black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this full bodied wine is well balanced, smooth, has very rich and ripe spicy black cherry flavors. The finish is quite dry, has fine tannins. It is also very very lengthy and a touch heady. This very extracted wine is perfect on it own. It also paired nicely with this Asian beef appetizer that we had. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2004 Syrah is produced entirely from estate fruit, the nose presents dark chocolate, blackberry, bacon, mint, orange-peel, white pepper and other cooking spices. In the mouth the wine is opulent and multi-layered, with lively acidity and a long finish.
