Wine Review: First of all, let me just say that I am a candy hound and this yummy Petite Sirah satisfies my sweet tooth cravings. To top it off, you get all the candy flavors here with all the healthy anti-oxidants you find in red wine and even more importantly, without all the empty calories! It has a deep, dark, opaque purple color and looks like typical, everyday grape juice! The aromatic nose abounds with red and black licorice, chocolate, vanilla and hints of raisin. The palate is rich, round and smooth and bears a striking similarity to the Good & Plenty licorice candies that I enjoyed as a child. Additionally, blackberry, chocolate and plum also play a role here. Enjoy this wine with prime rib or grilled meats or on its own in place of dessert. Enjoy - Kara
