Wine Review: I recently had dinner with friends at Il Capriccio in Waltham, MA. We enjoyed an array of tasty Barberas over the course of the evening. This Perrone offering was enjoyed by all. This dark purple wine opens with a forward black cherry like bouquet with a little touch of heat. On the palate, this wine is very smooth, soft, and offers fruit forward black cherry flavors that are not so typical of an Italian wine. The wine was very well balanced. The finish is dry and was quite extended. This wine was very food friendly and paired nicely with my delicious Lasagna Bolognese. Enjoy – Ken
