Winemaker Notes: The 2004 Estate Pinot Noir is similar to two most recent vintages, though a bit more reticent aromatically. With some aeration, it yields aromas of violets and black fruits with hints of woodsy forest floor. More structured than the 2003, the flavors of black cherry and spicy blackberry with hints of cinnamon and sarsaparilla give way to an elegant mineral infused finish. This wine pairs well with roasted Pacific Salmon,wild mushroom risotto, or spring lamb.
