Wine Review: This dark strawberry colored wine called Gioia opens with a fragrant Maraschino cherry like bouquet with hints of orange and rose bush. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and nicely balanced. It also fully coats your mouth. The flavor profile is richer than most Rose’s. The flavor profile is a blend of Maraschino cherry and ripe red raspberry. I also picked up a touch of strawberry and gentle watermelon in the background. The finish is dry and its fade away nicely. This is a perfect Rose for red drinkers looking for something a little lighter in the summer, but not too light. I would pair it with grilled salmon burger. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: An Italian style rose of Sangiovese with a rosy-red garnet color, bursting with bright watermelon, fresh rose petal, and wild berry aromas. Juicy berry notes on the palate are balanced by a refreshing acidity, round mouthfeel, and a soft, creamy finish.
